Visitors must complete a basic safety course, which includes;

Shoot under close personal supervision
New members must complete a comprehensive safety course, which includes;

Safe handling of pistols

Range commands
New members will also be give training in the operation and use of air pistols, revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.
The training programme will also include the legal requirements as set down by the New South Wales Police Firearms Registry for;

obtaining a Probationary Pistol License (PPL)

a genuine reason for having a firearm

participation requirements
-
obtaining a firearm, Permit to Acquire (PTA)

purchase, safe storage and transportation requirements
-
purchase, possession, storage and transportation of ammunition
